So, it happened. The guy was simply irresistible and you ended up in bed together. You totally like him but you are afraid that after what happened, he might simply disappear from your life altogether. Don't fret, girl, it's not the end of the world. Here are some things you can do:
Don't be desperate nor clingy.
In this day and age, going to bed together isn't the same as a commitment. It is something that you both wanted to do and ended up doing. Clinging desperately to the guy and frantically trying to have and keep him won't help. Neither will it help to try to make him “responsible” for something that you both did and perhaps enjoyed. Just enjoy what you had and let him be the one to chase after you.
Don't chase.
In the same way, badgering him with phone calls, e-mails, and text messages won't make him interested. If anything, it will probably drive him away. Sure, a “hi” will do, but pursuing him will only make him sit back and enjoy the ride.
Don't beat yourself up over it.
Don't ever make the mistake of going down into fits of depression because you went to bed with someone you like. If you feel deep inside that you regret it, then by all means, cry. But don't wallow in self-pity or shun the world for long. Pick up the pieces and try to let him see a strong woman in you.
Maintain your composure.
Stand up and live your life. Do the things that you normally do. Work, achieve, and be confident in yourself. Go out and have fun. Pamper yourself. Once he sees that you're unaffected by what happened, he'll surely be intrigued.
Keep yourself beautiful.
Pay special attention to how you look. Getting some exercise not only helps you look good, it also helps in making you feel good. Smell nice at all times. Don't ever let yourself be caught looking like a slob. Exude an aura of self-confidence.
Be good a company.
Don't think that just because you like the guy you went out with, he is the center of your world. Maintain your circle of friends and let it grow. Be pleasant to be with, be fun, have fun. Be interested, be interesting.
Slow things down the next time around.
Listed above are things that would make the guy have second thoughts about turning his back on you. If you are confident in your own skin and bring out the self-assured woman inside you, you will keep his interest. And next time the two of you go out again, it would be a good idea to slow things down.
